Jan is a multi-talented CEO who had a passion to become an entrepreneur. Once in this capacity, she would be able to help students academically that struggle with comprehending mathematical concepts and improving their reading.

Working as a certified music teacher for the state of Texas in one of the school districts of the Dallas Metroplex, she first began her entrepreneur venture by teaching piano in her residence in 1995.

Cognizant of the bond between Music and Mathematics, Jan decided to launch into a new venture - that of offering two subjects at Jan's Music Studio. In 1999 the name was changed to Jan's Music & Math Tutoring. Classes were offered in Elementary mathematics, Junior High Mathematics, and High School Math with emphasis on Algebra 1 as well as Geometry.

Frequent inquiries began to transpire urging the incorporate and development of Reading into the tutoring program. Intense and willing to serve the needs of the socio-economically depraved students who began making application for reading classes, Jan began taking as many classes as she could to be able to offer assistance in this academic pathway. In 2001, she fully incorporated her NEW reading program and began taking applications for reading. Thus, the name of her business changed again, propagating the natural growth and evolution, and the new nomenclature became, Jan's Music, Math & Reading.
Once again, this CEO and director of a growing business has decided to expand her efforts in offering and providing an opportunity for children and parents in three other areas. In the fall of 2005, we have incorporate three additional ventures of learning. The following areas of study represent the new additions to our list of services: Pre-Band, the study of the Soprano Recorder, Drums, Guitar, Spanish -- the study of conversational spanish, ESL -- the study of English as a Second Language for all ethnic citizens who need to learn to successfully and effectively speak English, and lastly, Sign Language -- an introductory course, teaching those interested in learning the art of communication to the hearing impaired.
Due to the continuous growth of the business, the diversity of courses being offered here, the nomenclature which encompasses all of our curriculums is JAN'S TUTORING LLC. We pride ourselves in providing every student participating in our program with a learning conductive environment and atmosphere.
