ACADEMICS
In order to be effective in academic tutoring, our teachers possess the zealous spirit of 'Making It Happen' for each student that enters our learning facility. Our teachers, therefore labor vigorously to teach each student, until he/she has grasped what they came to learn. COME ABROAD WITH US, WHERE LEARNING IS FUN.
Students applying for math tutoring are tested to determine their appropriate grade level. A list of the students deficiencies are complied and perfected one by one. Strict attention is given to improving the student's basic skills and comprehensive learning. Three of the most difficult TAK's objectives are taught to assist the regular classroom teacher and enable the students to meet the expectations of passing the Texas State Test. Parents must me patient with the pace their child is able to learn when they have fallen behind. Students will work to improve their skills in being able to identify the problem and recall the algorithm necessary to solve the problem. Let us help and improve the math in your child.
Students read three to four stories and complete the language arts assignment which follows each story assignment. Students engage in a weekly writing clinic. This broadens the student's vocabulary and enhances their legibility and penmanship. Students complete weekly written assignments in phonics. All reading students will master frequency word lists I, II, & III by pronouncing and spelling words on these lists. Students read for enjoyment, books which are listed on their grade level best seller list. Let us help and improve the reading in your child.
